How to Brew Coffee with the Pour Over Method

Making pour-over coffee requires care and precision, but when done well, it creates a cup that reflects the warmth, connection, and hospitality we provide.

1.  Heat Your Water

Heat the water to 195–205°F, or your preferred temperature.

2. Grind Your Coffee

Grind the coffee to a medium consistency.

3. Place the Filter in the Dripper

Open the coffee filter and place it inside the pour-over brewer. Rinse it with hot water, then discard the rinse water.

4. Add and Bloom Coffee

Add the grounds, level the coffee bed, and reset the scale. Pour about twice the coffee’s weight in water and wait 45 seconds.

5. Pour the Remaining Water

Slowly pour in circles, starting in the center and moving outward.

6. Let It Drain and Enjoy

Allow the water to pass through completely, then pour the coffee into your mug and create connections.
